This SOG Salute Mini Black Oxide pocket knife has a compact yet practical design and it feels great to hold in your hand, which allows you to put quite a lot of force on it. The back lock ensures the blade will remain in place firmly. That blade is made of 8Cr13MoV with a good hardness of 56-58 HRC. This means it has a solid edge-retention, but it’s soft enough to easily sharpen. The steel has excellent corrosion- and wear resistance, meaning it is a low-maintenance pocket knife which can also be used outdoors. There’s a moveable thumb stud on the blade that you can use to unlock the blade or to fold it.
The grip consists of two black G10 scales with texture for extra grip. It has an ergonomically pre-moulded design that feels great in your hands, so you can comfortably use the SOG Salute Mini Black Oxide pocket knife for a long time. G10 is very durable material with good wear-resistance and it is known for its low water absorption rate. This means it is effectively water-repellent.
